Look for cockroaches in cracks and crevices, under sinks, behind stoves, and in utility rooms and bathrooms along walls and corners.

The next step is to treat cockroach prone areas with non-chemical treatments such as door sweeps, tight-fitting window screens, and caulking or foam sealant to block openings where pipes enter walls. Also, gel baits applied with a syringe can be effective in cracks, corners, and edges. Unlike ready-to-use plastic bait stations, these syringe-type applicators allow you to put out small pea-sized dabs of bait, which are more likely to be eaten by cockroaches in smaller spaces.
