Midcalf and Calf Injuries

The midcalf is a broad muscle that runs from the femur and tibia to the Achilles tendon at the heel. There are two main muscles in the calf: the gastrocnemius and soleus.

The gastrocnemius muscle is the larger of the two and gives the calf its rounded, bulging appearance. The soleus is a bit thinner, and sits just below the knee.

Midcalf length is one of the traditional men’s dress sport socks with grip lengths. It provides a little more coverage than crews but still covers the gap between your shoe and cuff, making it the perfect height for wearing with a suit or slacks.

Mid-Calf Socks: The Fashionable and Versatile Footwear for All Seasons

It’s an all-purpose sock that feels great to wear, with enough graduated compression to relieve foot fatigue and a blister-free guarantee. These socks are also a great option for wearing with work boots or casual shoes and shorts, and they look great with most outfits!

Calf Injuries

If you are having pain or a swelling in your calf, you may have a calf strain. A calf strain usually happens when the gastrocnemius muscle tears or weakens. The symptoms include pain with walking or running, and a feeling of tightness around the affected area.

Soleus Strains are less common, and can also happen when the soleus or plantaris muscle tears or weakens. The symptoms of a soleus strain are similar to those of a gastrocnemius strain, with pain on the outside or behind the knee and a feeling of tightness in that area.

Osprey Builds a Custom Landrover 130

Custom landrover

For the discerning buyer, there’s no better way to get a true taste of the Land Rover custom landrover than in a custom build. It can be as simple as tearing one down to the frame and rebuilding it, or it can be a fully blown upgrade, including swapping out engines.

Osprey

As its name suggests, the Osprey specializes in building custom landrover. They’ll start with a customer’s old Land Rover Series or Defender models, tear them down to the frame and rebuild them.

The result is a modern Land Rover with the toughness of an old one. It’s a combination that resonates more with people than a new one ever could.

It’s also quite a nice ride. The 130’s suspension is a bit stiffer than the 110, but it’s not overly harsh, which makes it much easier to drive with confidence on the road.

Unleash Your Creativity: The Ultimate Guide to Customizing Your Land Rover

Osprey has fitted some interesting modern features to our test car, too. For example, the company’s Atoto aftermarket head unit has a touchscreen that’s responsive and offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Inside, it feels like a more conventional Land Rover. The dashboard, for instance, has a more durable aesthetic than some of the other high-end vehicles in the range. Exposed screw heads and easy-to-wash rubber floormats give it a more rugged feel.

It might not be as quick as a 470-hp Jeep Wrangler, but the Defender 130 is still a pretty quick truck in its own right. And it’s a lot more enjoyable to drive than some of the more expensive SUVs on sale today, despite not having the white-knuckle thrill of the Lexus LX 600 or the Jeep Wagoneer.
